Bollywood films have always been a source of inspiration for the international counterparts. And it’s so gracious enough to see our films being considered with such stature and they are given a space in a place like the Oscar library.

Of late the film which has been invited to the Library of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is Sanjay Leela Bhansali's ‘Guzaarish’, starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. The screenplay of the film has given an entry at the prestigious library to be part of its permanent script collection.

An overwhelmed Bhansali said, “The movie makes you aware about the beauty of life and what we have, and how we should cherish what we have. I have learnt so much about living a good life, of becoming a better human being and of evolving as a person.”

Released on Nov 19th 2010, ‘Guzaarish’ is about the story of magician Ethan, whose life comes to stand still after a tragic accident and he turns paraplegic, a wheelchair bound patient. The film sensitively deals with the matter of mercy-killing.
